                         MILK AT LUNCH

If your student is getting hot lunch this year, 1%, skim or chocolate milk is included, but did you know that milk still costs money if you are bringing your lunch from home? Students are welcome to purchase milk from school for 55 cents to go with their home lunch. Money can be brought in, or you can add money to their myschoolbucks student lunch account and kids can “charge it!”

MHS SPORTS BOOSTERS

The Morse High School Boosters Club has given us some football season passes! This pass is for the season and is free.  Please contact Mrs. Pratt if your family would like a pass. Act now as we have a limited number of passes and they are first-come, first-served!

This Saturday (10/2) is the MHS Homecoming football game at 3:30pm on McMann field.

Also happening this Saturday: Boys Soccer at 11:00am & Girls Soccer at 1:00pm both on McMann field. Come on out and cheer on your Shipbuilders!!

HEALTHY HIGHLIGHTS

I am sure you saw that we are having our dental clinic here at school on November 1st and 2nd. Everyone in the school got the paperwork, but if you have misplaced it and you want another please send me an email, and I will make sure your student brings another one home.  You only need to reply if you do not have a dentist and wish your child to see the hygienist.  She does a great job with children and a thorough cleaning and exam are performed. If you have dental insurance or Mainecare there is no charge at all. If you do not have coverage, the charge is minimal compared to dental offices at $55.00 and you can attach a check to your form made out to: Brighter Maine Smiles. Thank you to all of you who have already sent your form back in.

I am fast at work connecting all the dots to get a flu clinic together for the month of October.  I do not have all the details yet, but if you are at your primary care doctor's office for any reason, please feel free to get it there. Watch for paperwork on this topic in the next newsletter.

CELL PHONES

Middle Schoolers have received a printed version of the WCS Cellular Use Permission Form (printed on pink paper.) If your student brings a cellphone to school, we ask that parents and students sign the form and return them to their homeroom teachers.
